People who discover the potential of strength in overcoming challenges are able to make simple gray daily routines more interesting. Many people do not like their work. They do not change jobs regularly or at all while growing tired of their work. These are the people who are most worn out by the challenges of life, and they are the ones most exposed to the influence of the technologies of the 21st century. In many cases, we cannot choose our jobs, colleagues and work tasks, but we can change the quality of our attitudes towards these to get advantages for ourselves.

During my 30-year-old catering career I got to know a lot of people; they were quite creative people, and there were others who were not motivated at all. Catering is a beautiful profession, but it can also be very stressful. There are hours when nothing happens; workers are prepared, waiting for guests. In this case, a lot of employees smoke or make meaningless conversations. But it is typical of many other professions as well. These periods can be much more usefully spent, through which improvement can be reached professionally and personally. Naturally, in order that the workers should spend these empty periods at work more creatively, or work hours more effectively, a creative and innovative leadership is needed. As a manager, I have always given importance to the quality of work presented by the employees rather than to work for certain hours.

Every profession only makes sense if we strive to show professionalism and our ability to learn throughout life.

Individual, workplace and social development can only be achieved if the limits of professional and human skills can be extended. Excuses are always easier to find if you do not want to take on any challenge, however, those who seeks professionalism always look for a new challenge, responding to a solution.

Many times it is not the aim that counts, but the way how we reach it and how it can make us change. Striving for professionalism increases our creativity and forms our personality as well.
